You're invited to celebrate the legacy and contributions of the African American community during February Black History Month at Children's Museum Houston.‍

Celebrating Black History: From Ancient African to Today: Celebrate Black History through music, dance and poetry highlighting the remarkable contributions of African Americans across history. Presented by Express Children’s Theatre.
When: At 11 am in Brown Auditorium‍

Black History Month Story time with ABC13: Join ABC13’s Briana Conner for a special story time that highlights the rich history, culture and contributions of Black voices throughout history.
When: At 1 pm in the Parent Resource Library‍

The Griot Speaks: Griot Manning Mpinduzi-Mott brings ancient African tales and storytelling to an interactive stage, using drumming, audience participation, and magical transformations to share history and culture.
When: At 2 pm in Brown Auditorium‍

Fearless Trailblazers: Ruby Bridges: Celebrate Black History Month by creating your own Williams Franz Elementary School while learning about Ruby Bridges’ brave role in the Civil Rights Movement.

Star Promise: Create a pledge of kindness to display at home as a reminder that one person can change the world.
