The Galveston Sandcastle Festival is a two-day beach event featuring one of the largest amateur sandcastle competitions in the world plus live music, local food trucks, art vendors, a kid zone, and hands-on lessons with professional sandcastle builders.

Day 1

Competition Day

• 6:30 AM: Beach opens for teams and sponsors
• 10:00 AM: Gates open to the public
• 10:00 AM–3:00 PM: Teams sculpt their sandcastles
• 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM: Free lessons with a professional sandcastle builder
• 3:00 PM–4:30 PM: Judging period
• 5:00 PM: Awards presentation
• Activities continue throughout the day with live music, food, vendors, kids' zone, and a solar cooking demo

Day 2

Sunday Fun Day

Sculptures remain standing on Sunday, offering a chance to explore them with smaller crowds. Additional sandcastle lessons take place at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
