Activities

Pizza Box Toss
Have fun tossing beanbags or
small towels into a pizza box.

Pizzaria
Give your child an apron, hat, and
pizza pan, and help him make
paper plate "pizzas." Paint a paper
plate with red paint and sprinke
with cornmeal (cheese), onion
flakes, parsley and oregeno.

Pizza Collage
Use pre-cut pictures of pizzas from
ads, and help your child glue them
onto paper plates or construction
paper.

Pizza Time
Take a field trip to the local pizza
shop and eat up! If you're familiar
with a family-friendly place where
you can watch the chef toss dough
in the air, go for it. Otherwise, a
local buffet like Pizza Hut,  CiCi's,
IT'Z, or The Incredible Pizza Co is
ideal for allowing your little one to
sample pizzas with various
toppings.

Individual Pizzas
Make individual pizzas with your
child, and be sure to allow your
child to be hands-on. For once,
forget about the mess. You can
use English muffins, Ritz crackers,
pitas, or tortillas for dough. Add a
little sauce, cheese, and cook (in
oven or microwave) until the
cheese is melted.

Pizza Dough
Use refrigerated pizza dough or a
can of biscuits and a rolling pin to
roll out the dough into a circular
shape. This is a wonderful
sensory experience for your child.
If he can't use a rolling pin, help
him use his hands to squish and
flatten th dough. Then, let him
choose five items from your pantry
to add to the dough. (It doesn't
have to be pizza items. Chocolate
sprinkles, jelly beans, macaroni,
or whatever you child desires to
use!)

If You Want To Eat Some Pizza
(Tune: If You're Happy and You Know It)

If you want to eat some pizza, clap your
hands,
If you want to eat some pizza, clap your
hands,
If you like bubbly cheese,
then you just say "Pizza, please!"
If you want to eat some pizza, clap your
hands.

Pizza Man
Pat a cake, pat a cake, Pizza Man.
Make me a pizza as fast as you can!
Roll it and toss it and sprinkle it with
cheese.
And don't forget 5 pepperonis, please !!

I Wish I Were a Pepperoni Pizza
(Tune: "Oscar Mayer Theme Song")
Oh, I wish I were a pepperoni pizza,
That is what I'd truly like to be.
For if I were a pepperoni pizza,
Everyone would be in love with me!

Pizza Round
(Tune to "Row Your Boat")
Roll, roll, roll the dough.
Toss it in the air!
Pepperoni, cheese and sauce,
There’s enough to share!

Pizza and Pop
Pizza and Pop, Pizza and Pop
When I get started I just can't stop
The smell is delicious, The taste extra
yummy,
I love it the most when it gets to my
tummy……yummy

Pizza Shop
Down around the corner in the pizza
shop
There were lots of pieces of pizza with
pepperoni on top
Along came (child's name) all alone
He (or She) bought one that had (# of
pepperonis) pepperoni
And took it home

Nursery Rhymes

You and your child can
have fun by changing the
words of familiar songs or
nursery rhymes to make
them silly. For example,
make up a rhyme about
when Humpty Dumpty
went to the store. Or, try
singing the sing BINGO by
spelling your child's name:
"K-A-T-H-Y, and Kathy
was her name-O!"
