Seeds & Fruits Christian Academy, located at The Woodlands Bible Church (995 Pinyon Pine Dr., The Woodlands), is a discipleship-focused hybrid academy serving students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Founded by Giewee Hammond, Seeds & Fruits was born out of a desire to help children grow both academically and spiritually. After spending years working as a Data Scientist and leader in STEM-related fields, Giewee witnessed firsthand how education can open doors and create opportunities. At the same time, she became increasingly convinced that true success requires a strong spiritual foundation rooted in God's Word.
That conviction led her to create Seeds & Fruits Christian Academy, a place where children can think critically, explore boldly, and develop a faith that is truly their own.
A Unique Hybrid Model
Seeds & Fruits operates on a hybrid schedule, with students attending on-campus classes three days each week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Families then have Tuesdays and Fridays available for home-based learning, extracurricular activities, field trips, therapies, co-ops, travel, or pursuing a child's individual interests.
For many homeschooling families, this type of schedule offers the best of both worlds: structured academic instruction and community, while still preserving the flexibility that makes homeschooling so appealing.
Families who love the philosophy behind the hybrid model but would prefer a five-day option will be glad to know that The Woodlands Bible Church plans to offer a supplemental enrichment program on Tuesdays and Fridays. This gives parents the flexibility to create the schedule that best fits their family's needs while still enjoying the benefits of the Seeds & Fruits program.

One feature that caught my attention is the academy's emphasis on cultivating the whole child. In addition to traditional academics, students may participate in special hands-on experiences, including activities in the on-site kitchen where learning can extend beyond the classroom walls.
A Vision Taking Shape
During my visit, I enjoyed meeting Giewee and learning more about her vision for Seeds & Fruits Christian Academy. It was clear that she has spent considerable time thinking through how to create a learning environment that supports both academic growth and spiritual formation.
As with any new school, the campus is currently undergoing preparation and improvement as the team works diligently to create welcoming, engaging learning environments for students. While there is still work taking place behind the scenes, I could clearly see the vision for the space and the thoughtful plans being put into motion. I'm excited to watch the academy continue to develop over the coming months and look forward to seeing the finished result as the school community grows.
