Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 19, 2026, when the 16th Annual Woodforest Bank Charity Run returns to downtown Conroe. Hosted by Woodforest National Bank, this family-friendly event raises fun for the Woodforest Charitable Foundation and welcomes runners, walkers, families, and even those who prefer to participate virtually.
Race Options
Participants can choose from several events:
- 10K Run/Walk (7:40 a.m.) – Sponsored by Insperity
- 5K Run/Walk (8:00 a.m.)
- Virtual 10K/5K – Complete your race anytime before the end of the day on September 19.
- Barkley Shoe Dash (9:00 a.m.) – A hilarious race for children ages 5-12.
The always-popular Barkley Shoe Dash is unlike any other kids' race. Children begin with just one shoe on, sprint 50 yards to a pile of shoes to find and put on their second shoe, then race another 50 yards back to the finish line. It's fast-paced, funny, and always a crowd favorite.
Stay for the Post-Race Party
The fun doesn't end at the finish line. After the races, participants and spectators are invited to enjoy a family-friendly Post-Race Party featuring music, food and beverages, children's activities, and an Awards ceremony.
Whether you're racing or simply cheering someone on, it's a great morning of community fun.
Registration Information
Registration includes a commemorative technical t-shirt for the first 250 participants. Current registration fees are:
- 10K Run/Walk: $40 (plus $3.90 registration fee)
- 5K Run/Walk: $35 (plus $3.60 registration fee)
- Virtual 10K/5K: $35 (plus $3.60 registration fee)
- Barkley Shoe Dash: $10 (plus $2.10 registration fee)
Registration prices increase after August 30, and online registration closes on September 19 at 8:00 a.m.
