Free Summer Fun Continues at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts in Spring has plenty happening over the next few weeks, including colorful art exhibits, hands-on activities, a free family event, and even a live concert.

Now through September 5, families can explore Chromatica: A World in Color, a vibrant exhibition featuring paintings, textiles, sculpture, and more. Kids will also enjoy the museum's interactive Maker Space, complete with craft stations, a LEGO® building area, a reading nook, and a scavenger hunt.

The museum also continues its popular Wild Art Wednesdays through August 12, offering free hands-on art activities every Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This year's projects are inspired by famous women artists. Advance registration for a 20-minute time slot is recommended.

Families won't want to miss the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The free Family Day includes art activities, the Texas Bubblers, live performances, story time, music, and more. Children will also have the opportunity to take home free art supplies while supplies last, and 300 free books will be given away courtesy of Books Between Kids.

Music lovers can also enjoy a free concert on Sunday, August 9, at 2:00 p.m. in the museum's Main Gallery, featuring the W7 Duo performing works for cello and piano.

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is always free.
