It’s time for one of the most festive, lively, and joy-filled traditions of the season — the Tomball German Christmas Market, returning December 12–14, 2025! If your family loves twinkling lights, holiday shopping, cheerful live music, and a good old-fashioned street festival, this is one you absolutely don’t want to miss.

Held in the heart of downtown Tomball near the Historical Train Depot Plaza, this beloved celebration transforms the streets into a bustling European-style Christmas village with over 150 vendors, cultural entertainment, delicious food, and spirited contests the whole family will be talking about!

What to Expect at the Festival

Stroll the streets with a hot cocoa in hand and browse booths (150+ street vendors) filled with handmade gifts, artisan goods, décor, toys, clothing, Christmas treasures, gourmet treats, and so much more. It’s one of the best spots in the area to knock out your holiday shopping, and support small businesses while you’re at it.

Four Stages of Live Entertainment

With 30+ entertainers performing across four music stages, the atmosphere stays merry from morning ‘til night. Expect German folk music, holiday performances, dance groups, and an exciting mix of cultural entertainment that keeps kids and adults smiling.

Carnival Rides & Games

Bring the whole crew! The on-site carnival features exciting rides and classic games to keep younger visitors (and fun-loving adults!) entertained all weekend long.

Delicious Food & Drinks

From German festival favorites (bratwurst, schnitzel, pretzels, and warm strudel!) to traditional fair food, there’s something for every palate. Adults can also enjoy festive beverages, including beer and mulled wine.

If you're feeling competitive, you can jump into one of the festival’s playful contests:

  • Bier Stein Hoist Contest
  • Chicken Dance Contest
  • Yodeling Contest
  • Best Dressed Competition (Lederhosen and dirndls encouraged!)

These lighthearted competitions are audience favorites and make for some unforgettable memories.

German Dancing & Street Performers

The streets come alive with costumed performers, folk dancers, strolling musicians, and entertainers who bring the festive spirit right to your family’s fingertips.

Why Woodlands Families Love This Event

The Tomball German Christmas Market is one of those can’t-miss holiday outings that my family makes a point to attend each year. It's affordable, charming, outdoors, overflowing with Christmas spirit, and only a short drive from The Woodlands! Whether you go for the music, the shopping, the carnival, or just to soak in the festive atmosphere, it’s a beautiful way to create memories with your family.
