The Woodlands Township invites residents and visitors to celebrate the start of the holiday season at the annual Lighting of the Doves Festival. The festivities take place from 3pm – 8pm on Saturday, November 22 at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive.
A cherished community tradition, Lighting of the Doves symbolizes peace and harmony. The highlight of the evening, the ceremonial illumination of the doves, has captivated thousands of spectators every year, marking the official beginning of the holidays in The Woodlands.
The festival will feature an exciting lineup of traditional and international performances, reflecting the cultural diversity of The Woodlands and celebrating holiday customs from around the world. Guests can enjoy children’s activities, vendor booths, strolling entertainers and a variety of live performances on two stages. For those seeking winter fun, snow play areas and snow slides will be open with a $5 wristband required for access, available onsite by cash or credit card. Please note that if paying with cash, change will not be available.
The evening culminates in a special appearance by Santa Claus, who will make a grand entrance by sleigh down The Woodlands Waterway, followed by the Lighting of the Doves ceremony and a spectacular fireworks display.
Free parking will be available at the orange, yellow, blue and white lots at 2002 Timberloch Place. Additional designated parking areas include the Town Center Parking Garage, Gold Lot and surface lot at the southeast corner of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive. ADA parking is available in the Green Lot off Riva Row and Timberloch Place with a valid placard or plate.
