It’s Native American Heritage Month!
Every November, we take time to honor and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of America’s Indigenous peoples — including Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. The month was officially designated in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush, and it continues to serve as a reminder of the traditions, stories, and legacies that have shaped our nation.
From engaging performances and storytelling to hands-on learning and dance, there are several wonderful ways for local families to observe Native American Heritage Month right here in The Woodlands and surrounding areas. A few of these events do require pre-registration, so be sure to check the details and mark your calendars!
