Here's a family show the kids will love, and tickets start at only $19! From June 13-23, 2013, Houston Ballet presents Trey McIntyre's Peter Pan. Based upon the popular story by Sir James M. Barrie, Peter Pan is a magical ballet set to the music of Sir Edward Elgar in an arrangement by Niel DePonte and features spectacular flying sequences, swashbuckling swordfights, giant puppets, colorful masks, as well as costumes inspired by punk fashion. With elaborate, magical sets by Thomas Boyd and imaginative costumes by Broadway designer Jeanne Button, the production reinterprets the classic story with verve and wit. Montgomery County Libraries - Dig Into Reading Summer Reading Club - From June 8-July 19, children through 12 years of age can log their summer reading and turn it in for a certificate and lots of great prizes! Stop by Mitchell Library on June 8 for their kick-off party with music, games and fun! On June 8 and 12, The Woodlands Public Libraries will kick-off their reading programs with games and fun for families!

 More than 100-students participated in the city-wide 25th Annual Young Inventors Showcase of Houston on Saturday, May 18 at the Childrens Museum of Houston. The grand prize winner of a free patent application was Wilson Montessori 3rd grader, Lara Manega, who wowed judges with her Tennis Tube invention. Manegas Tennis Tube consists of a black mesh tube that is held to a tennis racket by a stylish green clip. The tube is used to hold the tennis balls. She described her invention as an alternative to having to carry a bulky bag. The Grand Prize which includes: patent application, fees and legal services, is valued at $10,000.
