Restaurants & Dining - Editor's Picks - July - October 2014

We’ve been cooped up all summer in the AC, now that cooler weather is just around the corner, it’s time to enjoy the outdoors and some of the great restaurants that offer dining al fresco!

18035 IH 45 at Research Forest, Shenandoah
Texans love their TexMex and Chuy’s does not disappoint!  You’ll love their creamy jalapeño sauce with your chips, tacos, fajitas or you could just drink it right out of the bowl!  Chuy’s outdoor feels like you’ve been transplanted to the tropics with lots of palm trees, bright colored décor and some great 80s tunes filling the background!  This is a great, fun place to kick back and relax with your favorite date!

The Lake House Waterfront Cafe and The Grove
1600 McKinney, 1611 Lamar Street, Houston
The Lake House is set next to Kinder Lake, the fountains and performance stage in Discovery Green Park in downtown Houston.  This casual restaurant has great outdoor seating for people watching or beautiful indoor seating with floor to ceiling windows.  The menu is casual with burgers, salads and hot dogs and is great to take with you for a picnic on the lawn of Discovery Green.  When you’re done with your picnic, walk over to The Grove for their blackberry cobbler for dessert on their beautiful garden patio.

Nonnies Soda Fountain
102 Market Street, Tomball

Nonnie’s is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor nestled off the main drag in historic downtown Tomball.  After a stroll through the antique stores and wine bars in Tomball, take a break at the antique ince cream counter or out on the porch and enjoy a banana split or one of their delicious root beer floats! your social media marketing partner
Restaurants & Dining - Editor's Picks - April - June 2014

Spring and early summer are the best times to take advantage of all of the area al fresco dining available to us in and around The Woodlands.  From people watching to boat watching, here are a few of our favorite places to spend dinner outside.

Fajita Jacks
15256 Hwy 105 W, Montgomery
Fajita Jacks is a true Tex-Mex Grill & Cantina featuring live entertainment and events on their large water-view patio overlooking Lake Conroe.  Enjoy karaoke on Friday nights and live entertainment on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons as well as great Tex Mex food!

9595 Six Pines Drive #1120, The Woodlands
Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen offers Louisiana classics such as seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee, red beans and rice and bread pudding.  You’ll love people-watching on their quaint patio while you enjoy an intimate, elegant French Quarter-style restaurant on Market Street.

Bar Louie
24 Waterway Avenue, The Woodlands
Bar Louie is an eclectic urban bar with warm surroundings inside and great patio dining outside with a view of the fountains above Waterway Square.  Bar Louie has a great menu including juicy hamburgers and outstanding bruschetta. Check them out for weekday happy hour from 4-7 with ½ price apps and flatbread.

Blue Mug Café
30420 FM 2978, The Woodlands
Blue Mug Café is snuggled back off of 2978 just east of Woodlands Parkway and is a nice change from the area chain restaurants. They have a great outdoor seating area under a pergola with table seating, couches, and music piping over the speakers. The menu is very dynamic with tacos, pasta, cheeseburgers and everything in between.  The Pot Roast Grilled Cheese is amazing and so is the Gorgeous Wrap on the lighter side of things! your social media marketing partner
