Whenever my husband and I work out together, he criticizes me for not doing any before/after stretching. He literally spends 5-10 minutes on stretching alone. Usually when I do find the time to exercise, I don’t have an extra 5-10 minutes to dedicate to something that I’m not even sure is effective. I’ve worked out for the past 10 years and have never injured myself as a result of not stretching. Is it a necessity? – Jada

I’m a bit overweight and I am looking for an effective method to lose weight at home. I like aerobics and dance, but there are literally hundreds of DVDs out there. What DVD or program would you personally recommend? I’m looking for something I can do at home, and something that will help me burn a lot of calories. – Tamara

I’m a mother to twin girls who are 6 months old. Apparently, I have something called diastasis recti, which means my abdominal muscles have been separated (due to my pregnancy and the way I carried) and now there’s a bulge in my tummy area. I was told sit-ups and crunches would only make the problem worse. Is there anything I can do to help bring these muscles back together? I don’t want to look pregnant for the rest of my life, but I’ve always thought sit-ups were the only effective exercise for flattening a tummy. – Jennifer

Is bike riding (and only bike riding) an effective means of exercise for someone who wants to lose weight? I want to drop 35 pounds, mainly in the hip/thigh/tummy areas. How much bike riding would I need to do to achieve this? Also, is there a type of bike you’d suggest for a budget-minded beginner? – Bridget
