Animation, Featuring Cartoon Network

The Health Museum
The special exhibit explores animation from concept to finished product - from storyboarding, character design, and drawing techniques to movement, timing, filming, and sound - through a variety of hands-on activities, a screening room, and a cartoon museum. Larger-than-life graphics of popular Cartoon Network characters provide a colorful backdrop to the exhibit.

 
Happy Feet - 4D

Moody Gardens - Galveston
A condensed (12-minute) version of the popular animated movie is presented in 3D on the screen - with added sensory effects like wind, mist, and vibrating seats in the theater.

 
Dragons & Fairies

Children's Museum of Houston
Dragons & Fairies: Exploring Viet Nam Through Folktales offers a variety of hands-on activities based on five traditional Vietnamese folktales to teach museum-goers more about Vietnam, its people, and its heritage.

 
Star Wars

Space Center Houston
The exhibit gives visitors the opportunity to live out their favorite moments from the epic series at the Clone Wars battle grounds, complete with high-flying fun and physical challenges.
 
Magic: The Science of Wonder

Houston Museum of Natural Science
Magic: The Science of Wonder
examines how science and magic are intertwined. The exhibit includes artifacts connected with legendary performers, video clips of famous magicians, and guest illusionists performing live. At the "University of Magic" inside the exhibition, visitors can also learn a magic trick of their own. Tickets include admission to the permanent exhibit halls.

 
Dinosaurs Exhibit

May 29 – September 6
Houston Zoo
Ten life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs move, roar, snarl, and even spit water in the Zoo's special exhibit. Visitors can wander the exhibit's pathways and stand face-to-face (or face-to-shin, rather) with a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, and others.
