The Happy Child

A great friend of mine recently enlightened me by saying that when dealing with people in life, you must always take into account the “size of their world” because at the end of the day it’s all relative to that. As I thought about this concept as it relates to my own world as a mom, I realized the profound truth and importance of this very statement.  Why am I writing about this? Well, when dealing with children especially, it’s more important than ever to remember the size of their world and what’s relative to them.

 

Every parent wants to raise happy children, but as moms, of course, we know that happiness is often elusive. For children, however, happiness is not elusive, but really quite simple! And guess what, moms? Raising the “happy child” is really quite simple as well. Stick with me.

How to Win Back Christmas

As we see far too often, year after year, commercialism has taken over Christmas. Business and the economy have driven society into believing the most important tradition during Christmas is "gift giving." I wonder why? We mommies, however, know there is a lot more to it than that.

My Dilemma
I am the very proud mother of two precious children Ava Grace (6) and Chase David (4).  I am a pharmaceutical rep and a very hard working mommy (is there any other kind?).  I love talking about being a mommy to anyone that will listen and anyone who is reading this does too, that’s why you are on this website.  Right now I find myself in a very BIG dilemma!  I am faced with a major battle! It's a battle between my brain and my heart and I'm not sure who is going to win.
