Meet Kara...

Currently resides in: Sterling Ridge |

ids: One - 22 months

Something very few people know about me:
I have 5 grandkids at 33 years old! Pretty impressive!.

Magazines I subscribe to:
Professional Photographer, Budget Travel and Good Housekeeping.

First job:
Hostess at El Chico.

Favorite meal to prepare at home:
Anything in a crockpot. Oh how I love my crockpot!

Favorite childhood book or story:
I have so many. The Secret Garden was a favorite. Anything by Judy Blume or Shell Silverstein. And now my son loves to read, so I'm so excited.

How I discipline my kids:
We are taking the approach of time out and redirection at this early stage. Hoping it will work.

Three things on my long term to-do list:
I am a goal girl. I have to-do lists everywhere and have always had short term and long term goals. So on my long term goal list currently, there are get published in a photography magazine, boost my studio to the 100k mark and enter a photo competition.

Last movie I saw at the theater:
I honestly can't remember the last movie I saw in the theatre. I think they are a waste of time and money. Sorry.

How I spend my Friday evenings:
Most Friday evenings I'm working or cleaning the house. How boring am I? I sound like I'm 50, but yes I work anytime I can.

Favorite store-bought or restaurant-bought dessert purchase (and where can we find it)?
I love frozen Swiss rolls from Little Debbie or if I'm splurging, the chocolate cake from Cheesecake Factory. Yummy.

Something currently in your purse that has a good story behind it (and tell us the story):
Ha! My brother's birthday card from May. I still have not mailed it. Maybe I should, that would really freak him out. I was meaning to have my son color in it or something cute, but never got around to it. Now it's November.

Best way to spend $50:
That is a hard one! Well I have two answers. One would be a mani and pedi. That always makes me feel better. Or dinner out with the hubby on a date night. That would also make me feel better.

My life...
is crazy busy, but I love it. There is always something to do and things to keep me busy. Whether it is photo shoots, keeping up with a 22 month old, taking care of a home, etc. There is never a dull moment.
