|4th Annual Homeschool Family Expo, March 25|
Homeschoolers throughout the entire Greater Houston area are excited for the area’s fourth annual family-friendly Homeschool Expo to be held from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, March 25 at the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center. The Homeschool Family Expo will highlight an interactive floor of homeschool related programs and services throughout the Greater Houston area, including science shows, demos, and a mini book fair, while homeschooled students in grades K-12 will have the opportunity to participate in a Student Commerce Fair and the Family Literature Show. Admission is free and open to the public.
“The homeschool community in Houston is growing rapidly,” says Karen Logan, Owner and Marketing Director of WoodlandsMommy.com, the company responsible for organizing the event. “Parents choose to homeschool for a variety of reasons, including dissatisfaction with the public school curriculum, having a child with special needs or simply having a different philosophy about how children learn. WoodlandsMommy.com’s goal has always been to serve the needs of moms and families in our community, and the Expo does just that.”
In addition to offering concessions, a family reception area, stage performances, and door prizes, the expo will showcase three unique features:
“We know parents want the most up-to-date information to keep their families active in the homeschool community, and this event gives them the chance to interact one-on-one with some of the top homeschool programs in the area, plus get to know other homeschool families,” says Logan.
The 2017 Homeschool Family Expo is presented in part by Extraordinary Education, Classical Conversations, and Usborne books. Families, students, and business sponsors interested in attending and/or participating in the Expo should visit www.HomeschoolFamilyExpo.com or call 832-443-7291.
